It took so long for flickr to upload my picture that I’m almost finished with lunch! I finally gave up and hosted it through photobucket.
I’m hoping it’s not too large a picture. Anyway, this is my first super healthy bento. There’s leftover stir fried carrots and broccoli from last night, homemade hummus with a little cayenne pepper, cucumber slices to dip in the hummus. There’s also onigiri with star shaped nori on top, mini dill alligators devouring green olives (I took great pleasure in stealing their prey and eating their faces off!). Fresh strawberries and watermelon jello for desert. That’s a big lunch for less than 600 calories!

I have never tried hummus. How did you make it? Do you have a recipe?
I posted a picture of brandi’s new kittie. He’s a year old, ad so loving!

Awesome! I’ve been eyeing pretty bentos online for a while now, and I love them! Those strawberries look so yum. I’ve purchased a couple cartons in the last month, but neither have been much good here yet. Boo.

I’m REALLY enjoying doing bento for lunch because mid-day is usually when I’m the busiest and I don’t take time to make anything to eat. This way, it’s already prepared and I can just grab it and eat without wasting time making something. It’s helped a LOT.
Our strawberries here have been pretty wonderful. The first couple of weeks always sucks because they never seem to be quite ripe, but they’re in full flavor now.
